fish on!

Friday, May 7th, 2010

I ran north of the Same Ol yesterday and had 12 mahi & 1 white marlin. Water temp was average 75 degrees as we found most of the fish right on the temp break and weed lines. All of my fish were caught on ballyhoo rigged seawitches and blue water candy “gaffer candys”. The majority of the fish were on blue/whites or blue/pinks. No wahoo or blackfin tunas in my area. All the reports south around the steeples were full of blackfin & wahoo, and a weaker bite of mahi.

Today we have weighed a 4.5 lb flounder caught in the inlet & a 57 lb wahoo caught at the steeples. Some reports today of spanish caught from sheepshead rock all the way up to the Marriott reef. Also alot of smaller flounder caught in the surf and some large schools of bigger redfish. Fishing season is here folks.

The Piers are Lighting Up!!!

Reports of Blues and Spanish on the piers.  The warmer water is moving in quickly so the Kings should be there any time.  Get some fresh shrimp at our store and your MirrOLures ready.
